跟进：Norte山火控制率升至50% Capistrano学区周一全面复课

橙县消防局（OCFA）10月18日通报，San Clemente与San Juan Capistrano一带的Norte山火控制率已升至50%，过火面积仍为约570英亩。目前仍有467名消防员留守火场，继续加固控制线并扑灭残余热点。

Follow-Up: Norte Fire Containment Rises to 50%; Capistrano Unified Schools Reopen Monday

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) reported on October 18 that the Norte Fire near San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano had reached 50 percent containment, with the burned area holding at approximately 570 acres. A total of 467 firefighters remain assigned to the incident, strengthening containment lines and extinguishing remaining hot spots.

The fire broke out at about 11:33 a.m. on October 16, forcing evacuations across multiple zones in both cities and damaging or destroying six homes. CAL FIRE reported 25 percent containment on the evening of October 17, and evacuation orders for San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano were fully lifted starting at 6 p.m. that day. The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), in an update at 11:14 a.m. on October 18, noted that the burned area remains closed because of ongoing fire hazards.

Capistrano Unified School District confirmed Sunday morning that all of its schools will return to regular schedules on Monday, October 19. The district had dismissed nine schools early on October 16 as a precaution. The district said the reopening decision was based on the lifting of evacuation orders, improving weather conditions and good air quality, and that air filters are being replaced at schools affected by the wildfire ahead of students' and staff's return.
