拉丁美洲通讯社（拉丁社）10月31日报道，巴拿马10月9日强震的死亡人数已升至3人：一名86岁老妇10月30日在巴拿马城 Ciudad de la Salud 医院逝世。她于10月14日入院，巴拿马社会保障局（CSS）通报了她的死讯。
第二名死者是一名60岁妇女，巴拿马卫生部10月22日确认她在 Santiago de Veraguas 的 Luis「Chicho」Fábrega 医院死亡，她在震后疏散中受伤。
此次强震的重灾区包括 Los Santos、Veraguas、Herrera 与 Coclé 四省。巴拿马总统 Mulino 已宣布，政府将先在 Herrera 省为受灾家庭建造300套新房。

Panama Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 3; Government to Build First 300 Homes for Victims in Herrera
The death toll from Panama's October 9 strong earthquake has risen to three, the Latin American news agency (Agencia EFE) reported on October 31: an 86-year-old woman died on October 30 at the Ciudad de la Salud hospital in Panama City. She had been admitted on October 14, and Panama's Social Security Fund (CSS) reported her death.
The second victim was a 60-year-old woman whose death at the Luis "Chicho" Fábrega hospital in Santiago de Veraguas was confirmed by the Health Ministry on October 22; she had been injured during the post-quake evacuation.
The hardest-hit provinces are Los Santos, Veraguas, Herrera and Coclé. President José Raúl Mulino has announced that the government will first build 300 new homes in Herrera Province for affected families.
