德州当选州长伊诺霍萨称将立法保护居民免受数据中心影响：与马斯克合作可以、但须按德州的条件

Texas Governor-Elect Hinojosa Says State Will Pause Data Centers Until Protections Exist, and Work With Musk Only on Texas's Terms
Austin — Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa said in a CNN interview on November 5 that the state needs to stop what it is doing with data centers until it has measures in place to protect Texans, Reuters reported. "We will have laws to protect Texans, and we need to stop what we are doing with data centers until we have those protections," she said.
Hinojosa said data centers have moved mostly into rural communities where there are no rules and laws to protect Texans, and that Texans are being taken advantage of. Her remarks continue a campaign pledge to halt new projects.
Asked about Elon Musk, whose SpaceX and Tesla are headquartered in Texas, Hinojosa said Texas can have a strong working relationship with Musk and his companies, "but it has to be on our terms. It cannot be just running over the people of Texas, and that's what changes now that I will be governor." Musk supported her Republican opponent, Greg Abbott, in the election and said he had spent $158 million promoting Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton alone.
At a press conference the same day, Hinojosa said she had spoken to the executive director of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission to request that no action be taken, during the transition from Abbott to her administration, on selling Boca Chica State Park to SpaceX. She said Texas beaches are enshrined in the state constitution as free and open to the people of Texas, and that selling a beach to Musk was "almost unimaginable" and "unacceptable." SpaceX did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
