Idaho Governor Election: AP Calls Race for Little, Winning a Third Term

The Associated Press called Idaho's governor's race on the evening of November 3 for Republican Governor Brad Little, who defeated Democratic candidate and attorney Terri Pickens to win a third four-year term. Idaho is in the northwestern United States, and its capital is Boise.

The AP results page snapshot showed 822 of the state's 986 precincts reporting, about 83.37 percent, with an estimated 83.37 percent of the vote counted; Little had 328,731 votes to Pickens's 192,547. Independent candidate John Stegner also ran in the race.

Little has served as Idaho's governor since 2019 after serving as lieutenant governor; no Democrat has won a statewide election in Idaho since 2002. Results are unofficial until canvassing and certification by the secretary of state's office.
