Follow-Up: VDL Begins Hiring for Its $77 Million Georgia Expansion, 120 Jobs to Open in Phases
VDL Industries' Gainesville plant in Oakwood, Hall County, Georgia, has begun hiring for a $77 million expansion project, with plans to add 120 jobs. North Atlanta-area coverage on November 3 said recruiting for the expansion, located in Oakwood within commuting range of Buford, Sugar Hill and Suwanee, is already under way.
VDL Industries is a local manufacturing company, and the expansion will enlarge its production footprint in the Gainesville area, bringing new employment to Hall County. The plant currently employs about 70 people, and construction is expected to be completed in 2028; the 120 positions will open in phases rather than all at once. Specific openings and timelines will be announced through the company's careers page as recruiting proceeds, and interested residents can watch for the company's postings.
