移民局参与查办：意大利籍男子被控在2024年大选非法投票 并以虚假陈述骗取入籍
美国公民及移民服务局（USCIS）10月7日在佛罗里达州Tampa通报，意大利籍男子安德烈亚·卡塔内塞（Andrea Catanese），60岁，已被联邦检方起诉。移民局与国土安全调查局（HSI）、帕斯科县选举监督官办公室联合查办此案。
起诉书指控，卡塔内塞并非美国公民，却在2024年总统大选中投票；他还被控企图非法取得美国国籍，并在入籍申请中作虚假陈述。相关罪名最高可判10年联邦监禁。
案件由联邦检察官格雷戈里·W·基霍（Gregory W. Kehoe）宣布，助理联邦检察官马克·E·安德鲁（Mark E. Andreu）负责起诉。起诉书仅为指控，被告在被法庭定罪前推定无罪。

Italian National Charged With Voting in 2024 Election and Lying to Obtain Citizenship; USCIS Aided the Investigation
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced in Tampa, Florida, on October 7 that Andrea Catanese, a 60-year-old citizen of Italy, has been indicted on federal charges. USCIS investigated the case jointly with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections office.
The indictment alleges that Catanese, who is not a U.S. citizen, voted in the 2024 presidential election, attempted to unlawfully procure U.S. citizenship, and made false statements in his naturalization application. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark E. Andreu is prosecuting. An indictment is only an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
