Hornets' Kon Knueppel Out Again With Hamstring Injury, to Miss NBA Cup Game vs. Celtics
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets have confirmed that guard Kon Knueppel will miss the NBA Cup group game against the Boston Celtics at Spectrum Center on the night of November 6.
The team's official injury report released November 5 listed Knueppel with a left hamstring strain, the same injury that kept him out of the season's first eight games. Knueppel made his season debut on November 4 against the Brooklyn Nets but left after playing fewer than six minutes, and the team has not announced a timetable for his return.
Charlotte also ruled out Grant Williams with a right hamstring injury, while Moussa Diabaté (right quadriceps) and Dennis Schröder (left thigh) were listed as questionable. The Hornets are 3-6 and on a five-game losing streak; tipoff on November 6 is at 7 p.m.
