俄亥俄州260个人口普查区获联邦机会区认定：2027年1月1日起生效、为期十年

俄亥俄州州长 Mike DeWine 与州发展部部长 Lydia Mihalik 11月5日宣布，该州260个人口普查区已获美国财政部批准、被认定为联邦机会区，将以税收优惠吸引私人投资进入更多社区。

州发展部此前共收到951项提名，涉及该州1,040个符合资格普查区中的515个；州政府最终提名的260个区全部获批，其中96个位于农村社区，每个有符合资格普查区的县都至少获得一个提名。获认定较多的县包括 Cuyahoga 县39个、Franklin 县28个、Hamilton 县19个、Lucas 县16个与 Montgomery 县13个。

260 Ohio Census Tracts Named Federal Opportunity Zones, Effective January 1, 2027

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik announced on November 5 that 260 census tracts in Ohio have been named federal Opportunity Zones, creating stronger pathways to long-term investment and economic growth in more communities.

The Opportunity Zones 2.0 program takes effect January 1, 2027, providing federal tax incentives designed to encourage outside investments that support housing development, business expansion, job creation and community revitalization, and the new designations remain in effect through 2036. Under the permanent framework enacted by Congress in 2025, states must redesignate eligible zones every 10 years. Ohio's first round, designated in 2018, included 320 census tracts across 73 counties; 78 of the newly designated tracts were in the original program.

The Department of Development received 951 nominations representing 515 of Ohio's 1,040 eligible census tracts; all 260 tracts nominated by the state were approved by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including 96 in rural communities, and all counties with an eligible tract received at least one nomination. Counties with the most designations include Cuyahoga (39), Franklin (28), Hamilton (19), Lucas (16) and Montgomery (13).

"Every community in Ohio has something special to offer, and we want to make sure they have the opportunity to thrive," Governor DeWine said. "Whether it's bringing new life to a downtown, creating great-paying jobs, or building housing for more families, these Opportunity Zones will help attract investments that can make a real difference in the lives of Ohioans." Director Mihalik said the response from communities across Ohio shows how much potential exists in every corner of the state.
