First Lady Melania Trump to Attend LSU-Alabama Game on November 7 as $5 Million Foster Youth Scholarship Launches
The Office of the First Lady announced on November 4 that First Lady Melania Trump will attend the Southeastern Conference showdown between LSU and Alabama on Saturday, November 7, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.
The visit also marks the announcement of a $5 million donation establishing a permanent scholarship fund for Louisiana State University students who have experienced foster care. The gift is part of the First Lady's Fostering the Future initiative, which will be launched both on campus and at the game.
LSU-Alabama is perennially one of the SEC's most watched matchups. LSU said the scholarship fund will provide lasting support to students from foster care backgrounds as they complete their degrees.
