洛杉矶警车深夜撞倒过街行人：行人当场死亡，巡逻车当时正前往处理扰乱事件

Pedestrian Killed by LAPD Cruiser Responding to a Disturbance Call in Los Angeles
A Los Angeles Police Department cruiser struck and killed a pedestrian late on October 31 in Los Angeles, in Los Angeles County, California. At about 11:30 p.m., the cruiser hit the pedestrian in the 6100 block of Woodman Avenue, near Bessemer Street, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the cruiser, from the department's North Hollywood Station, was responding to a disturbance call, and the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when struck. A witness reported hearing a thud and seeing the victim down.
The victim's name, age and gender have not been released. It was raining at the time, and it remains unclear whether the wet conditions played a role; the cause of the collision is under investigation.
