美国国家公园管理局宣布，卡特·G·伍德森故居国家历史遗址将于11月7日在华盛顿重新对公众开放。此次重开前，遗址完成了故居的大规模修缮、展陈空间扩建，并新增了一座游客中心。国家公园管理局与国家公园基金会、非裔美国人生活与历史研究协会合作完成这一项目。
11月7日当天将举行特别开放日活动，游客无需预约即可参观修缮后的故居与新展陈。常规开放时间自11月10日起，周二至周六上午9点至下午5点；常规导览场次为9点、12点15分、13点15分、15点、15点30分与16点，每单最多预订15张票；团体导览为9点30分、10点45分与14点，每单最多60张票。提前订票可通过Recreation.gov或致电877-444-6777，现场购票视余量而定。门票免费，每张票收1美元服务费，学校团体每组统一收10美元。

Carter G. Woodson Home to Reopen November 7 After Major Rehabilitation
The National Park Service will reopen the Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site in Washington, D.C., to the public on November 7, following a major rehabilitation of the historic home, an expansion of exhibit space and the addition of a visitor center. The Park Service carried out the project with the National Park Foundation and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH).
A special Open House will be held on November 7 with no reservations required. Regular hours begin Tuesday, November 10, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Standard tours run at 9:00, 12:15, 1:15, 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00, up to 15 tickets per transaction; group tours run at 9:30, 10:45 and 2:00, up to 60 tickets. Advance tickets are available through Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777, and walk-ins are admitted subject to availability. Tickets are free with a one-dollar service fee per ticket; school groups pay a flat ten dollars per group.
The site at 1538 Ninth Street, NW preserves the home and office Woodson bought in 1922 and lived and worked in until his death in 1950; it also served as headquarters of ASALH, which he founded in 1915, and of Associated Publishers. Woodson, known as the 'Father of Black History,' launched Negro History Week in 1926, the foundation of Black History Month.
