District 25 Race Heads to November 3: Ruiz Faces Hemet Mayor Males
In Riverside County, California, Representative Raul Ruiz, a Democrat from Indio, will attempt to extend his tenure in Congress to an eighth term on Tuesday, November 3, facing a challenge from Joes Males, the Republican mayor of Hemet.
District 25 covers geography extending just north of Interstate 40 in San Bernardino County, south to the Mexican border in Imperial County, east to the Arizona state line, with a two-branch western boundary: the lower half extends into the Hemet Valley, while the upper part curves into the San Gorgonio Pass via Desert Hot Springs, north of Interstate 10.
Ruiz has represented the area since 2013, and Males is challenging him from the Hemet mayor's office. Voters can find vote centers and ballot drop-off information through the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.
