All Sacramento Vote Centers Open Today; Any Registered Voter in the County May Use Any Center Through Nov. 3
SACRAMENTO — Sacramento County's Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) office says every vote center in the county is open from Saturday, October 31, ahead of the November 3 general election. Nineteen 11-day vote centers opened on October 24; the remaining four-day centers join them on October 31. Any registered voter in the county may cast a ballot at any vote center, regardless of precinct.
Hours before Election Day vary by location, with many centers open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; on Election Day, November 3, all centers are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may also return completed vote-by-mail ballots to drop boxes, which have been available since October 5, or deliver them to any vote center by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Registration closed on October 19, but eligible residents who missed the deadline can still complete conditional voter registration and vote at the VRE office or any vote center. Locations and hours are listed at elections.saccounty.gov, or by calling (916) 875-6451.
Sacramento County has a large Chinese-American electorate, and the county voter information guide is available in Chinese. Election officials encourage weekend voting to avoid Election Day morning lines.
