The city said the number of credentials coming due in the coming weeks will stay high, averaging more than 7,100 expirations a month, and continues to advise residents to renew within the six-month window before expiration.
Kim, the city's customer services director, who oversees the licensing centers and satellite city halls, reminded residents to book as soon as they enter the six-month window; Saturday appointment slots are released online at 4:15 p.m. each Wednesday. Renewals can be booked through the city's online appointment system, with service details on the city website. The city said renewing early avoids last-minute long lines and any lapse in a credential's validity.
