According to the City of Poway's calendar listing, the tree lighting takes place at 5:15 p.m. and Santa Claus arrives at 5:30 p.m. aboard a Poway Midland Railroad train. The event also features caroling, live music, free children's crafts, model railroad displays and evening train rides.
