印度尼西亚棉兰华人社区：北苏门答腊警察总长走访华裔总会分会，谈治安、防毒与交通
印度尼西亚北苏门答腊省棉兰市的华人社区迎来警方的联谊走访：10月27日，北苏门答腊警察总长 Irjen Pol. Sonny Irawan 到访印度尼西亚华裔总会（INTI）北苏门答腊分会秘书处，与华人社团领袖会面，讨论公共治安、毒品防范与交通安全。
Sonny Irawan 于当天下午约3时25分抵达位于棉兰 CBD Polonia 的分会秘书处，随行者包括省警察副总长、社区指导局局长、公关局局长、督察局局长与棉兰市警察局长。INTI 中央主席 Indra Wahidin、北苏门答腊分会主席 Janlie、INTI 理事与北苏门答腊多家华人社团领袖到场迎接。
Janlie 表示，INTI 坚持国家价值与多元主义，不隶属任何政党。Indra Wahidin 介绍，INTI 于1999年、即1998年骚乱之后成立，秉持民族主义、团结与共融的精神。
Sonny Irawan 表示，公共安全与国家团结需要社会各界共同参与，不能只靠警察；他呼吁华社协助保护家庭与社区免受毒品危害，并提醒交通纪律，包括骑行戴头盔、遵守道路标线、不逆行、驾车系安全带。
出席者还包括 INTI 棉兰的 Syafii Salim、民礼（Binjai）的 Erwin、Serdang Bedagai 的 Budi，以及妇女组织 Perempuan INTI 的 Sylvia Wong Fong Lan。会面最后，双方互赠牌匾与纪念品。
Indonesia's Medan Chinese Community: North Sumatra Police Chief Visits INTI Chapter to Discuss Security, Narcotics and Traffic Safety
The Chinese community of Medan, in Indonesia's North Sumatra province, received a fellowship visit from the provincial police leadership: on October 27, North Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Pol. Sonny Irawan paid a working visit to the secretariat of the North Sumatra chapter of Perhimpunan Indonesia Tionghoa (INTI), the Indonesian Chinese association, to discuss public security, narcotics prevention and traffic safety with Chinese community leaders.
Sonny Irawan arrived at the chapter's secretariat in the CBD Polonia complex in Medan at about 15:25 local time, accompanied by the provincial deputy police chief, the community guidance director, the public relations chief, the internal affairs chief and the Medan police chief. They were welcomed by INTI central chairman Dr. Indra Wahidin, INTI North Sumatra chairman Janlie, INTI board members and leaders of Chinese community organisations in North Sumatra.
Janlie said INTI upholds national values and pluralism and is not affiliated with any political party. Indra Wahidin said INTI was founded in 1999, after the 1998 riots, in a spirit of nationalism, unity and togetherness.
Sonny Irawan said public security and national unity require participation from all elements of society, not the police alone. He urged the community to help protect families and neighbourhoods from narcotics abuse, and reminded residents of traffic discipline, including wearing helmets, following road markings, not driving against traffic and wearing seat belts.
Other attendees included Syafii Salim of INTI Medan, Erwin of INTI Binjai, Budi of INTI Serdang Bedagai and Sylvia Wong Fong Lan of Perempuan INTI, the association's women's wing. The meeting ended with an exchange of plaques and souvenirs.
