《国家地理》（National Geographic）10月20日发布其年度榜单「2027年全球最佳旅行目的地」（The Best Places in the World to Travel to in 2027），共选出25个目的地与旅行体验。
美国本土上榜的包括马里兰州巴尔的摩、加州太平洋海岸公路（Pacific Coast Highway）、威斯康星州麦迪逊，以及横跨密苏里州与阿肯色州的南部奥扎克地区；波多黎各同样入选，卡特琳娜岛（Catalina Island）则获读者之选。其余上榜地包括马来西亚槟城、埃及卢克索、印度斋浦尔、澳大利亚墨尔本、日本新潟、秘鲁库埃拉普（Kuélap）与中国成都等。
《国家地理》在介绍卢克索时指出，2027年8月2日的日全食中，卢克索将是全食持续时间最长的地点之一。主编 Nathan Lump 在接受采访时表示，该榜单注重能为旅行者带来有意义、能丰富体验的目的地，并考虑到避开过度拥挤的热门地点、提供相对清静的替代选择。

National Geographic Names Best Places to Travel in 2027: California's Pacific Coast Highway and China's Chengdu Among 25 Picks
National Geographic on October 20 released its annual list, "The Best Places in the World to Travel to in 2027," featuring 25 destinations and travel experiences.
U.S. entries include Baltimore, Maryland; California's Pacific Coast Highway; Madison, Wisconsin; and the Southern Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas. Puerto Rico also made the list, and Catalina Island was named the Readers' Choice. Other selections include Penang in Malaysia, Luxor in Egypt, Jaipur in India, Melbourne in Australia, Niigata in Japan, Kuélap in Peru, and Chengdu in China.
In presenting Luxor, National Geographic noted that the Egyptian city will enjoy one of the longest durations of totality during the solar eclipse of August 2, 2027. Editor-in-chief Nathan Lump said the list focuses on places that deliver meaningful, enriching experiences, and that the editors factor in avoiding overcrowded hotspots by offering less busy alternatives.
