加州公共卫生厅警告冒充公卫官员电话诈骗：谎称处方核实套取个人信息，已现假警察视频通话
加州公共卫生厅（CDPH）10月22日发布警告（NR26-032)：近期有人冒充该厅工作人员，以核实药房就诊或处方信息为名，套取居民的敏感个人与财务信息。CDPH 提醒，该厅工作人员因正当公共卫生目的可能联系居民，但绝不会通过电话索要社会安全号、信用卡信息或任何付款。
据 CDPH 介绍，骗局手法包括谎称已以受害者名义开出处方、要求立即「核实」以清除记录；在部分案例中，骗子将受害者转入视频通话，由身穿假制服者在伪造的录音室里冒充警察或其他权威人物。来电者还会报出 CDPH 的姓名、徽章号码或电话线路，伪造来电号码，并以法律后果、取消处方等威胁施压，甚至要求受害者前往 Sacramento 某地址会面，部分居民还收到反复来电或威胁短信。
CDPH 厅长 Dr. Erica Pan 表示，已知悉有持续的冒名诈骗企图，敦促加州居民对电话与网络诈骗保持警惕。CDPH 建议：接到可疑电话立即挂断，拨打该厅主线 (916) 558-1784 核实，通知当地执法机构，并通过 联邦贸易委员会诈骗举报站 向联邦贸易委员会（FTC）举报。
California Department of Public Health Warns of Phone Scams Impersonating Public Health Officials
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) warned on Oct. 22 (release NR26-032) that scammers have been impersonating department employees to obtain sensitive personal and financial information, asking people to verify information related to pharmacy visits or prescription requests. CDPH said its staff may contact individuals for legitimate public health purposes such as disease contact tracing, but will never request Social Security numbers, credit card information or payment over the phone.
According to CDPH, recent reports include scammers claiming a prescription was filled in the victim's name and urging immediate verification to "clear their record." In some cases, victims were transferred to a video call with an individual impersonating a police officer in a fake uniform and fabricated recording room. Callers have referenced CDPH names, badge numbers or phone lines, spoofed department phone numbers, used threats such as legal consequences or canceled prescriptions, and in some cases directed people to meet at a Sacramento address.
"We are aware of ongoing scam efforts impersonating CDPH staff to pressure Californians into divulging personal information," said CDPH Director Dr. Erica Pan. CDPH advises anyone who receives a suspicious call to hang up immediately, contact the department's main line at (916) 558-1784, notify local law enforcement, and report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission at the FTC's ReportFraud site.
