$500,000 in Medical Equipment Airlifted to Venezuelan Hospitals for Earthquake Recovery
CARACAS — Nonprofit Project C.U.R.E. and its US energy partners announced on October 21 that they have airlifted approximately $500,000 in medical equipment and supplies to Venezuela, the organization's second air cargo shipment to the country. The flight departed Miami in early October and landed at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas, carrying 30 pallets weighing 8,388 kg. Caritas de Venezuela is distributing the cargo to four hospitals in Caracas's Libertador Municipality, three of them focused on maternal and infant care, including the Maternidad Concepción Palacios. The equipment was selected in response to locally identified needs and will help hospitals maintain essential services as communities recover and rebuild following the earthquakes.
