Swedbank's Third-Quarter Net Profit Falls 3 Percent to SEK 8.25 Billion, in Line With Forecasts
STOCKHOLM — Swedish banking group Swedbank reported third-quarter results on October 22: net profit fell 3 percent to SEK 8.25 billion ($834 million) from SEK 8.51 billion a year earlier, in line with the SEK 8.24 billion mean forecast in an LSEG poll, while operating profit fell 5 percent to SEK 10.57 billion, below the SEK 11.05 billion forecast. Credit impairments were net positive at SEK 701 million, reflecting provision reversals. The bank said the business climate in the quarter was positive. Swedbank is one of Sweden's largest banks, with operations across Sweden and the Baltic states.
