Early Voting Opens October 20 in New Orleans for the November 3 Election
New Orleans, Louisiana, opened early voting for the November 3 election on Tuesday, October 20. According to the Louisiana Secretary of State's election calendar, early voting in Orleans Parish runs October 20 through 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with no voting on Sunday, October 25.
The City of New Orleans currently lists four early voting locations: City Hall (1300 Perdido Street, Room 1W24), Algiers Courthouse (225 Morgan Street, Room 105), the Voting Machine Warehouse (8870 Chef Menteur Highway), and Lake Vista Community Center (6500 Spanish Fort Boulevard, second-floor meeting room).
Voters do not need a reason to vote early. Voters should bring accepted photo identification, such as a Louisiana driver's license or state identification card; voters without an accepted photo ID may sign a voter affidavit.
