重阳节正日香港市民登高扫墓 运输署多区实施特别交通安排、翌日为公众假期
香港——10月18日（周日）是农历九月初九重阳节。按照传统，香港市民在这一天登高、扫墓祭祖，太平山、狮子山、龙脊等登高路线以及各区坟场迎来人潮。重阳节在香港是公众假期，由于今年正日适逢周日，10月19日（周一）为重阳节翌日公众假期。
为配合扫墓人潮，香港运输署在全港多个坟场周边实施特别交通及运输安排：荃湾华人永远坟场一带10月18日上午7时至下午5时有道路封闭与改道；沙岭坟场边境禁区路段上午6时至下午6时临时开放予扫墓人士；和合石、长沙湾圣拉法尔天主教坟场及大屿山坟场周边同日亦有封路与特别巴士服务。运输署表示，警方会视乎交通情况在现场实施交通管制与改道。
运输署此前预计，重阳节正日及翌日假期前往各坟场的人流最为集中，呼吁扫墓人士预早计划行程、尽量使用公共交通工具。将军澳华人永远坟场正日的特别安排最为严格，另有专稿报道。（GSM 据香港运输署通告报道）
Hong Kong Marks Chung Yeung Festival With Hiking and Grave-Sweeping; Public Holiday Follows on Monday
HONG KONG — Sunday, October 18, is the Chung Yeung Festival, the Double Ninth Festival, when Hong Kong residents traditionally hike to high ground and sweep family graves. Trails such as the Peak, Lion Rock and Dragon's Back, and cemeteries across the territory, drew crowds through the day. Chung Yeung is a public holiday in Hong Kong, and because the festival falls on a Sunday this year, Monday, October 19, is observed as the day following the festival, a public holiday.
The Transport Department implemented special traffic and transport arrangements around cemeteries territory-wide. Roads near the Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery were closed or diverted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 18; the Frontier Closed Area section at Sandy Ridge was temporarily opened to grave-sweepers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and road closures and special bus services were also in place around Wo Hop Shek, the Saint Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Cheung Sha Wan and cemeteries on Lantau Island. The department said police would implement traffic control and diversions on site depending on conditions.
The department had expected the heaviest grave-sweeping traffic on the festival day itself and the following public holiday, advising the public to plan ahead and use public transport.
