重阳长周末尾日香港酷热 天文台料周一市区最高32度 黄色火灾危险警告生效
香港天文台表示，受干燥的东北季候风及强台风「薔琵」外围下沉气流影响，华南沿岸普遍晴朗及酷热。天文台预料周一（10月19日）香港天气晴朗干燥，市区最高气温约32度，新界再高一两度；吹和缓至清劲北至东北风。黄色火灾危险警告现正生效，天文台提醒市民，天气干燥，火灾危险性甚高，郊游及扫墓人士应小心火种，不要留下火种。10月19日是重阳节翌日的公众假期，也是长周末最后一天，大批市民趁假期登高扫墓或郊游。重阳节正日（10月18日）港九多处登高地点人流畅旺，部分墓园一带实施封路与人流管理。天文台展望，随薔琵靠近及东北季候风补充抵达，本周后期广东沿岸风势增强、天气转趋不稳定，气温将稍为下降。
Hong Kong Swelters on Last Day of Chung Yeung Holiday Weekend; Observatory Forecasts 32°C Monday as Yellow Fire Danger Warning Stays in Force
Hong Kong is set for another hot, dry day on Monday, the final day of the Chung Yeung Festival long weekend. The Hong Kong Observatory forecast mainly fine and very dry weather on Oct. 19, with a maximum temperature of around 32 degrees Celsius in urban areas and one or two degrees higher in the New Territories, under the influence of a dry northeast monsoon and the outer subsiding air of Super Typhoon Champi. A Yellow Fire Danger Warning is in force, and the Observatory urged the public to beware of fire hazards, as large crowds headed to hillsides and cemeteries over the festival weekend. Looking ahead, the Observatory said winds over the Guangdong coast would strengthen and the weather would turn more unsettled later in the week as Champi approaches and a replenishment of the monsoon arrives, with temperatures easing slightly.
