Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to Deliver Second Annual State of the Schools Address on Monday
Boston — Boston is a city in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Mayor Michelle Wu will deliver her second annual State of the Schools address on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m., according to a City of Boston announcement. Wu will appear with Boston Public Schools Superintendent Mary Skipper to report on the district's progress and announce new academic and partnership priorities for the school year, with the stated goal of making Boston Public Schools the first choice for families.
The address will take place at the UMass Boston Ballroom, 100 Morrissey Blvd. in Dorchester, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and a livestream available. It is Wu's second annual schools-focused address of this kind.
Also on Monday, Emily Knight, whom Wu appointed as the city's chief of economic development in late September, is scheduled to start in the role.
