特拉华州选举专员办公室因可疑邮件事件临时迁址 FBI接手调查

特拉华州选举部10月16日发布更新称，位于多佛的州选举专员办公室因前一天发生的可疑邮件事件已临时迁址，在调查继续期间，专员办公室将在选举部肯特县办公室办公，地址为多佛企业广场100号5套房。全州各选举办公室已恢复正常运作。

选举部表示，联邦调查局（FBI）已接手调查，专员办公室大楼已被州自然资源与环境控制部关闭，直至另行通知；美国邮政检查局正在对信封及其内容物进行检测。

选举部强调，包括公开会议、缺席选票处理和逻辑准确性测试在内的选举筹备工作均未中断，该部已为10月22日开始的为期10天的提前投票做好准备，提前投票点及时间表已公布在州选举网站上。

Delaware Election Office Relocated After Suspicious Mail Incident; FBI Investigating

The Delaware Department of Elections announced on October 16 that the State Election Commissioner's Office in Dover has been temporarily relocated as the investigation into the previous day's suspicious mail incident continues. The Commissioner's Office will operate out of the department's Kent County Office at 100 Enterprise Place, Suite 5, in Dover until further notice, while all department offices statewide have resumed normal operations.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation, the department said, and the Commissioner's Office building has been closed until further notice by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is testing the envelope and its contents.

Election preparations, including public meetings, absentee ballot processing and logic and accuracy testing, are proceeding uninterrupted, the department said, and it is fully prepared to welcome voters to early voting sites statewide on Thursday, October 22, the first day of the 10-day early voting period.
