据路透社调查：司法部四个月内向内华达州务卿发出七张大陪审团传票 索要选民信息
据路透社10月15日发表的调查报道，美国司法部在今年6月16日至9月2日不到三个月内，先后向内华达州州务卿西斯科·阿吉拉尔（Cisco Aguilar）的办公室送达七张大陪审团传票，要求提供选民信息。内华达州是今年中期选举的关键战场州之一，阿吉拉尔是该州负责选举事务的最高官员。
阿吉拉尔对路透社表示，这一连串传票是蓄意施压，意在削弱他的连任前景、并影响2028年的选务安排。他今年的竞选对手是2020年选举结果否认者吉姆·马钱特（Jim Marchant）。

Reuters Investigation: DOJ Sent Seven Grand Jury Subpoenas to Nevada's Secretary of State in Four Months Demanding Voter Data
According to a Reuters investigation published on October 15, the U.S. Department of Justice served seven grand jury subpoenas on the office of Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar between June 16 and September 2, demanding voter information. Nevada is a key battleground state in this year's midterm elections, and Aguilar is the state's top election official.
Aguilar told Reuters the series of subpoenas was deliberate pressure intended to weaken his re-election bid and affect the administration of the 2028 elections. His opponent this year is Jim Marchant, a denier of the 2020 election result.
The report also disclosed that the Department of Homeland Security had claimed as many as 16,000 noncitizens might be on Nevada's voter rolls; however, of the cases DHS officials showed to the state, 185 checked one by one by state officials all proved to be U.S. citizens. DHS later said at least 2,000 people on its initial screening list were noncitizens, while the state said it had received no credible evidence.
The fight over voter data is not confined to Nevada. Reuters counted that the Justice Department has sued 30 states and Washington, D.C. over access to voter data and has lost 26 of those cases, including Nevada's. Turning to grand jury subpoenas after the lawsuits is the latest chapter in the federal-state tug of war over election data.
