PACK EXPO International 2026 Opens October 18 in Chicago With 2,600 Exhibitors and 48,000 Expected Attendees
Chicago is a city in Cook County, Illinois. PACK EXPO International 2026, North America's largest packaging and processing trade show, will run October 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Organizer PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, says the show will bring together 2,600 exhibitors and an expected 48,000 attendees from more than 40 vertical markets, across about 1.3 million net square feet of exhibit space, with thousands of machines running live on the show floor.
Sustainability is one of this year's headline themes. PMMI's report "2026 The Ripple Effect: CPG Sustainability and the New OEM Spec Sheet" finds that more than 82 percent of end users are actively pursuing sustainability adoption. The show answers with a dedicated Sustainability Central education hub and three Innovation Stages hosting 30-minute sessions by suppliers and technical experts. New for 2026 are the CPG NexGen Awards for emerging consumer-packaged-goods leaders, SMB FastTrack, which connects small and mid-sized manufacturers with affordable technology and expert resources, and expert-led Discovery Tours. Jim Pittas, PMMI's president and CEO, said manufacturers have moved beyond asking whether sustainability matters and are now weighing which investments deliver measurable environmental and operational results.
Exhibitors are publishing their demonstration lineups ahead of the opening. Oregon-based Adeneli, for example, announced on October 15 that it will run live demonstrations at Booth LU-6614 in the Repurposed Packaging Association Pavilion, including its capR removable closure system with torque capping equipment, capless induction sealing for insertable pods, and QR-code and labeling equipment. A Workforce Development Pavilion will also host packaging and mechatronics programs from colleges and universities alongside PMMI training offerings.
