Reuters reported on November 7 that the Houston Rockets visit the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, November 7. Houston has lost only twice this season, but both defeats exposed fourth-quarter defensive problems: a 117-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 4, when the Rockets gave up 35 points in the final period, and an October 30 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, when they surrendered 40 in the fourth. In the Minnesota game, Houston's 22 turnovers were converted into 33 points; the Rockets average 15.9 turnovers per game this season, tied for 16th in the league. For the Timberwolves, LaMelo Ball, Jonathan Kuminga and Bones Hyland each hit four three-pointers. With guard Fred VanVleet back from injury, the team hopes its ball security will improve. Phoenix, meanwhile, beat the Orlando Magic 117-104 at home on November 5 to end a four-game skid; this game is the second of the Suns' longest homestand of the season, a seven-game stretch. Phoenix changed its starting lineup on Thursday, with third-year center Oso Ighodaro replacing sophomore Khaman Maluach; Ighodaro recorded 2 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block.
