BOSTON, Massachusetts — The Boston Celtics routed the Charlotte Hornets 119-80 on the road on Friday night, November 6, a 39-point blowout. Celtics star Jayson Tatum finished with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and a team-high plus-minus of +36, and head coach Joe Mazzulla praised Tatum's shot selection after the game. Boston dished out 33 assists and shot 24 of 44 from three-point range (54.5%), led 40-20 after the first quarter and built a lead as large as 46 points. With the win, the Celtics improved to 7-2, having won seven of their last eight games, with the only loss coming against the Houston Rockets; the Hornets fell to 3-7. Tatum and the Celtics next visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, November 8, looking to extend their winning run.
