Nashville Wins 2-0 at Cincinnati; 77 Points Set an MLS Regular-Season Record
NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Nashville SC won 2-0 at FC Cincinnati on November 7 to finish the regular season on 77 points, a new MLS single-season record. The previous marks were the 74 points of Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in 2024 and the New England Revolution's 73 in 2021. Nashville went 23-3-8, losing only three games all season, and lifted the Supporters' Shield. Under head coach B.J. Callahan, the club's historic season also included becoming the first MLS team to beat Club América at Estadio Azteca in the Concacaf Champions Cup before falling to Tigres in the semifinals. Nashville now turns to the MLS Cup playoffs, chasing Tennessee's first championship trophy in a major U.S. pro league — the squad's stated goal for the rest of the run.
