美中生物医药协会 SABPA 组队参加明日 Walk for Hope 慈善步行
美中生物医药协会（SABPA）橙县/洛杉矶分会（OC/LA）将组队参加11月8日（星期日）在加州橙县尔湾市举行的Walk for Hope慈善步行，与公众一起为希望之城（City of Hope）的癌症研究与患者关怀筹款。
按SABPA OC/LA的安排，该会队伍当天上午9:00在希望之城橙县院区集合，场地于上午8:00开放；地点为City of Hope Orange County, 1000 Fivepoint, Irvine, CA 92618。活动设2K与5K两条路线，健走上午9:30开始，参加免费，参与者可自愿捐款。
SABPA是2002年在圣迭戈创立的501(c)(3)非营利专业协会，2005年设橙县/洛杉矶分会，会员与订阅者逾4,000人，是南加州生物医药界主要的华人专业社团之一，其OC/LA分会年度生物医药论坛每年在尔湾举行。
Walk for Hope是希望之城的年度品牌公益活动，自1997年创办以来已筹集近5,000万美元；今年橙县站与洛杉矶站同在11月8日举行，华人「龙之队」此前已开放报名，与SABPA队伍同日同场参加。

SABPA OC/LA Team to Join Tomorrow's Walk for Hope Charity Walk in Irvine
The Orange County/Los Angeles chapter (OC/LA) of SABPA will field a team in the Walk for Hope charity walk on Sunday, November 8, in Irvine, Orange County, California, joining the public in raising funds for cancer research and patient care at City of Hope.
Under SABPA OC/LA's arrangement, its team will gather at 9:00 a.m. at City of Hope Orange County, with the site opening at 8:00 a.m.; the address is City of Hope Orange County, 1000 Fivepoint, Irvine, CA 92618. The event offers 2K and 5K routes, the walk steps off at 9:30 a.m., participation is free, and donations are voluntary.
SABPA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit professional association founded in San Diego in 2002, with its Orange County/Los Angeles chapter established in 2005. It counts more than 4,000 members and subscribers and is one of the leading Chinese-American professional associations in Southern California's biomedical sector; its OC/LA chapter's annual Biomedical Forum is held in Irvine each year.
Walk for Hope is City of Hope's signature annual charity event and has raised nearly $50 million since 1997. This year the Orange County and Los Angeles walks are both held on November 8; the Chinese-American Team Dragon, which opened registration earlier, will take part at the same venue on the same day as the SABPA team.
