Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has spent a record-extending 26th nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, according to the chart dated November 7, 2026, announced by Billboard on November 2. It is the longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Hot 100, which began in 1958.
"Choosin' Texas" first reached No. 1 in February 2026. With its 26th week at the summit, the song has now topped the Hot 100 during nine different calendar months, another chart record. The previous record holder was Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," with 22 weeks at No. 1. Billboard noted that only 4% of all songs to reach No. 1 in the chart's 67-year history have held the top spot that long.
The song's run on the country chart has been equally durable: "Choosin' Texas" has led the Hot Country Songs chart for 47 weeks, according to Billboard data.
Langley also holds the No. 2 spot on the Hot 100 this week with "Be Her." Earlier this year she won seven ACM Awards in a single night.
