美墨海关在奥泰梅萨联合查贸易欺诈：五天检查八成目标保税货物

CBP and Mexico Customs Inspect 80% of Targeted In-Bond Shipments in Joint Otay Mesa Operation
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on November 6 that CBP in San Diego and Mexico's National Customs Agency (ANAM) have completed a joint operation to combat trade fraud at the border. The operation, called Operation Trade Bridge, was conducted October 19-23, 2026, at the Otay Mesa Cargo Export facility in San Diego County, California, with CBP's Office of Field Operations, its Centers of Excellence and Expertise, and Homeland Security Investigations also taking part.
The enforcement action focused on potential trade violations in in-bond shipments moving between the United States and Mexico, particularly high-value electronics and textiles, where transshipment, undervaluation and inaccurate country-of-origin claims can erode duty revenue and distort legitimate commerce.
During the five-day effort, the task force and ANAM jointly offloaded and inspected 80% of the targeted shipments. CBP said inspectors identified concerns tied to declared value, Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, merchandise descriptions, quantities and country-of-origin information, while several matters remain under review by the agencies and their partners.
CBP said a central result of the operation was expanded real-time information sharing between CBP and ANAM, comparing U.S. export records, commercial documents and Mexican customs data. The agencies plan follow-up reviews, including verification of manufacturers, importers, exporters and origin documents, and more joint enforcement actions aimed at detecting commercial fraud schemes, including transshipment and improper tariff claims under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, while supporting legitimate cross-border trade.
