纽约公共图书馆11月10日办新书对谈：桑德森讲《纽约之前》，现场票售罄可看直播
位于纽约州纽约市的纽约公共图书馆将于11月10日晚6时至7时举办新书对谈：景观生态学家 Eric W. Sanderson 介绍其新书《纽约之前》（Before New York），与《纽约时报》建筑评论人 Michael Kimmelman 对谈。活动免费，须凭票登记。
图书馆活动页显示，现场登记已经售罄，读者仍可购买直播票观看，活动当晚开门时间约在5时30分，现场或有少量候补票。
《纽约之前》是桑德森畅销书《Mannahatta》的扩展图志，记述从1609年亨利·哈德逊抵达之前至今的纽约地区演变，汇集25年以上研究、75幅原创地图、200幅彩色插图，以及近4,000条溪流、湿地、动植物与原住民聚落条目。桑德森是纽约植物园城市保护副总裁、Mannahatta Project 主任，2019至2020年曾任图书馆 Cullman 中心学者。

NYPL Hosts Eric Sanderson on 'Before New York' November 10: In-Person Sold Out, Livestream Available
The New York Public Library in New York City, New York, hosts a book talk on November 10 from 6 to 7 p.m.: landscape ecologist Eric W. Sanderson presents his new book Before New York in conversation with New York Times architecture critic Michael Kimmelman. The event is free with ticketed registration.
The library's event page says in-person registration is sold out, while livestream tickets remain available; doors open around 5:30 p.m. and a limited number of standby tickets may be released on the night.
Before New York expands Sanderson's bestseller Mannahatta into an atlas of the New York region from before Henry Hudson's 1609 arrival to today, drawing on more than 25 years of research with 75 original maps, 200 color illustrations and nearly 4,000 entries on streams, wetlands, wildlife and Indigenous settlements. Sanderson is vice president for urban conservation at the New York Botanical Garden and director of the Mannahatta Project, and was a 2019-2020 fellow of the library's Cullman Center.
