《刺客信条：英灵殿》免费大更新上线：发售近六年补上New Game+，PS5 Pro画质模式升至60帧
育碧（Ubisoft）11月5日在 PlayStation.Blog 发布，《刺客信条：英灵殿》（Assassin's Creed Valhalla）名为「The Most Requested Update」的免费更新当日上线 PlayStation 5 与 PlayStation 5 Pro。这是该作2020年11月10日发售近六年后，玩家呼声最高的功能终于落地。
更新的核心是 New Game+（新游戏+）模式：玩家通关主线后可以带着已有装备与进度重开维京征程。此外更新还加入2项新成就、Enhanced Progression Mode（强化成长模式）选项、新的 Power（战力）计算方式、《刺客信条：影》主角 Naoe 的大师刺客服装，以及 Animus Hub 同步更新。据育碧官方补丁说明，开启 New Game+ 须先完成 Hamtunscire 地区的最后一个任务 Holy Day。
PS5 Pro 玩家另有专属升级：更新整合了升级版 PSSR（PlayStation 光谱超分辨率）技术。育碧工程工作室经理 Priscilla Nguyen 表示，升级版 PSSR 比原版效率更高、更易植入游戏源代码，画面更锐利、更稳定；借助这一技术，PS5 Pro 上的画质模式可在4K分辨率下以60帧运行。
Nguyen 说，升级版 PSSR 此前已成功用于《刺客信条：影》与《刺客信条：黑旗 Resynced》等新作，团队因此决定把它也带给《英灵殿》；由于不需要重做游戏内容与美术资产，团队得以在不做大规模改动的前提下，用新硬件为这款近六年前的开放世界作品完成现代化升级，让从挪威雪山到英格兰草原的世界以今天的技术标准呈现。
《刺客信条：英灵殿》以9世纪维京人入侵英格兰为背景，是该系列2020年的旗舰作品。本次更新为免费推送，PlayStation.Blog 的发布口径为 PS5 与 PS5 Pro 版本，育碧官方补丁说明显示1.8.0版更新同步覆盖其他平台。

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets Free Major Update: New Game+ Arrives Nearly Six Years After Launch, PS5 Pro Quality Mode Hits 60FPS
Ubisoft announced on PlayStation.Blog on November 5 that 'The Most Requested Update,' a free update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, is live the same day on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, bringing the game's most requested feature nearly six years after its November 10, 2020 launch.
The headline addition is New Game Plus, which lets players restart the Viking campaign after completing the main story while keeping their gear and progression. The update also adds two new achievements, an Enhanced Progression Mode option, a new Power calculation, a Master Assassin outfit based on Naoe from Assassin's Creed Shadows, and an Animus Hub synchronization update. According to Ubisoft's official patch notes, New Game+ is unlocked by completing the Holy Day quest, the last quest of the Hamtunscire region.
PlayStation 5 Pro players get an exclusive upgrade: integration of the upgraded PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). Priscilla Nguyen, Ubisoft's Engineering Studio Manager, said the upgraded PSSR is more efficient than the original and easier to implement in the game's source code, producing a crisper and more visually stable image; with it, the game's Quality mode runs at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on PS5 Pro.
Nguyen said the upgraded PSSR had already been integrated into newer releases such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, prompting the team to bring it to Valhalla as well. Because the work required no overhaul of the game's content or visual assets, the team could modernize the nearly six-year-old open world, from the snowy mountains of Norway to the meadows and highlands of England, to today's technical standards without extensive changes.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla, set during the Viking invasion of England in the 9th century, was the series' 2020 flagship title. The free update was announced for PS5 and PS5 Pro on PlayStation.Blog, and Ubisoft's patch notes for update 1.8.0 show the release also covers other platforms.
