爱荷华州男子有贩毒前科仍在学校附近卖毒品：被判41个月监禁

Iowa Man With Prior Drug Conviction Sentenced to 41 Months for Selling Drugs Near a School Again
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa announced on November 5, 2026, that William Robertson, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was sentenced on November 4 to 41 months and 15 days in federal prison for selling drugs again after a prior federal drug conviction.
Robertson received the prison term after a May 21, 2026, guilty plea to one count of distribution of a controlled substance near a protected location. United States District Court Chief Judge C.J. Williams sentenced him in Cedar Rapids to 41 months and 15 days' imprisonment, followed by a 10-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system. Robertson is being held in the custody of the United States Marshals Service until he can be transported to a federal prison.
In his plea agreement, Robertson admitted he distributed controlled substances on four separate occasions between October and November 2024: a mixture containing heroin, fluorofentanyl, and fentanyl, as well as cocaine base, on the first occasion; a mixture containing fentanyl and cocaine base on the second; cocaine base on the third; and cocaine on the fourth. The first three distributions took place within 1,000 feet of a school in Cedar Rapids.
Robertson was previously convicted in 2008 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa of conspiracy to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base within 1,000 feet of a protected location.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Adam J. Vander Stoep and was investigated by the Cedar Rapids Police Department. The case file number is 25-CR-29.
