洪都拉斯男子六次被驱逐后仍再次入境美国：非法再入境被判8个月监禁
美国司法部爱荷华北区联邦检察官办公室2026年11月5日宣布，洪都拉斯公民 Fidel Antonio Cruz Cruz（32岁）当天被判联邦监禁8个月——他此前已被美国驱逐六次，其后仍再次非法入境并居住在爱荷华州 Cedar Rapids 一带。

Honduran Man Sentenced to 8 Months for Reentering the U.S. After Six Deportations
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa announced on November 5, 2026, that Fidel Antonio Cruz Cruz, 32, a citizen of Honduras illegally present in the United States and residing in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area, was sentenced that day to eight months in federal prison for illegally reentering the United States after having been deported six times.
Cruz Cruz received the prison term after a June 8, 2026, guilty plea to one count of illegal reentry into the United States after having been convicted of a felony offense. United States District Court Chief Judge C.J. Williams sentenced him in Cedar Rapids to eight months' imprisonment, followed by a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system. Cruz Cruz remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
At his guilty plea, Cruz Cruz admitted he had previously been deported from the United States and illegally reentered without the permission of the United States government. He was previously deported five times between 2017 and 2019. In 2020, he was convicted of illegally reentering the United States and sentenced to 76 days in prison; he was then deported for the sixth time. He returned to the United States at an unknown time and was convicted in Johnson County, Iowa, in 2023 of an OWI offense.
On April 28, 2026, local law enforcement stopped Cruz Cruz for traffic violations while he was driving. Officers of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement responded, verified that he had been ordered removed from the country, and took him into custody.
The case, part of Operation Take Back America, was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Morfitt and investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations. The case file number is 26-cr-38.
