India: Prime Minister Modi Meets Asian Para Games Contingent on November 5 After Record 114 Medals Won by 97 Athletes
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the Indian contingent at the Asian Para Games 2026 on November 5 and acknowledge the country's para-athletes for their stellar performance at the continental sporting event, the Prime Minister's Office said on November 4. The interaction will take place at around 4:30 p.m. at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi, where Modi will also address the gathering.
India registered its best-ever performance at the Asian Para Games, held this year in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from October 18 to 24. A total of 97 Indian para-athletes won 114 medals, comprising 30 gold, 35 silver and 49 bronze.
The meeting is the government's formal felicitation for the contingent following its record medal haul on its return home.
