La Mesa Offers Free Trees to Residents: Request a 5-Gallon Tree for November 14 Pickup at MacArthur Park
LA MESA, Calif. — The City of La Mesa, in San Diego County, California, has announced that as part of its Tree Education & Giveaway Series, residents can put their new tree knowledge to work and request a free 5-gallon tree to plant in their yard. Pickup is on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at MacArthur Park, 4975 Memorial Drive, La Mesa, CA 91942.
The trees are first-come, first-served, and participation is limited to individuals who reside within the City of La Mesa. Residents must submit a request form through Tree San Diego to register.
The giveaway is part of the city's tree education series, under which La Mesa has also held tree-planting demonstrations to help residents learn the benefits of trees and how to care for them.
