十州41项数据中心地方公投：限制类议题全数通过、开发支持类全数被否
11月3日选举日，全美10个州共41项涉及数据中心的地方公投议案交由选民表决。据《Route Fifty》援引商业地产数据公司 Trepp 的统计与追踪，截至11月4日的快照：24项限制数据中心的议案全部通过、无一被否；11项支持数据中心开发的议案则全部被否、无一通过，另有4项尚待最终结果。
议案最集中的俄亥俄州有21项，伊利诺伊州7项，缅因州4项，堪萨斯州3项，威斯康星、内华达、新泽西、北达科他、佛罗里达和加利福尼亚州各1项。俄亥俄州 Granville 以82.45%的得票通过数据中心禁令；堪萨斯州 El Dorado 以约71%通过为期十年的高影响数据中心禁令；加利福尼亚州 Alhambra 选民投票禁止在该市建设数据中心。
北达科他州 Harwood 是唯一例外：选民否决了要求议会审查的市宪章修正案，数据中心支持方在该地取胜。蒙特利公园市今年早些时候已通过同类永久禁令。
NBC 出口民调显示，56%的选民称超级智能（SI）与数据中心议题是影响其投票的重要或主要因素。反对者主要担忧数据中心的用电、用水与税收优惠问题。上述统计为初步结果，部分议案仍待认证。
Voters in 10 States Weigh 41 Local Data Center Measures, Backing Restrictions and Rejecting Development Support
On Election Day, November 3, voters in 10 states decided 41 local ballot measures concerning data centers. According to Route Fifty, citing a Trepp tally, as of a November 4 snapshot all 24 measures restricting data centers had passed and none had failed, while all 11 measures supporting data center development had failed and none had passed, with four measures still pending final results.
Ohio had the most measures with 21, followed by Illinois with 7, Maine with 4, Kansas with 3, and one each in Wisconsin, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Florida and California. Granville, Ohio, approved a data center ban with 82.45 percent; El Dorado, Kansas, approved a ten-year ban on high-impact data centers with about 71 percent; and voters in Alhambra, California, voted to ban data centers in their city.
Harwood, North Dakota, was the lone exception, where voters rejected a charter amendment requiring council review, a win for data center supporters. Earlier this year Monterey Park, California, passed a similar permanent ban.
An NBC exit poll found 56 percent of voters called super intelligence (SI) and data centers a crucial or major factor in their vote. Opponents have focused on data centers' power and water use and tax incentives. The tallies are preliminary, with some measures awaiting certification.
