Nearly 19,000 Kanawha County Voters Cast Early Ballots, 46.5% of Them Democrats
Registered voters in Kanawha County, West Virginia, voted from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on November 3. Final county figures for the 2026 general election showed more than 18,000 voters cast ballots at early voting centers and another 750 voted by mail absentee ballot, a combined 18,755. Among early voters, Democrats made up 46.5% and Republicans 34.1%. In the U.S. Senate race, Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, seeking a third term, faced Fetty Anderson, the Democrats' 2020 nominee for governor.
