All Three Seats in Washington's 35th District Are Contested as Kitsap County Prepares 8 p.m. Results
November 3 was Election Day in the United States. In Washington's Kitsap County, voters could go to vote centers from 8 a.m.; centers closed at 8 p.m., after which the county auditor's office expected to release the first round of results shortly after 8 p.m. Counties would keep updating counts for days and weeks after the election, with all results certified by November 24. Kitsap County's 35th Legislative District is Republican-led, and both state House seats were contested: incumbent Republican Rep. Dan Griffey was challenged by Democrat James Pierson, while in the second seat incumbent Republican Travis Couture faced Democrat Kaitlin Littlesun; the district remained Democrats' second-biggest funded target in the state. In the state Senate, incumbent Republican Sen. Drew MacEwen faced Democratic challenger Carolina Mejia.
