俄克拉荷马州选出八年来首位新州长：两项修宪提案同表决

Oklahoma Picks Its First New Governor in Eight Years as Voters Decide Two Constitutional Questions
Oklahoma polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 3, with voters in line at 7 p.m. still able to vote; the State Election Board urged voters to confirm their polling places on the voter portal and bring identification. The election produced the state's first new governor in eight years: Republican Mike Mazzei faced Democrat Cyndi Munson and three independent candidates, as Gov. Kevin Stitt was barred by term limits from running again. In the Senate race, Republican Kevin Hern faced Democrat Enyioma Thomas, with Libertarian Sevier White and an independent also on the ballot; the lieutenant governorship, attorney general and all U.S. House seats were also decided. Voters weighed two constitutional questions: State Question 845 would change the structure and membership rules of the Judicial Nominating Commission, which screens and recommends candidates for some judicial vacancies, and State Question 847 would further limit annual growth in assessed values for residential, commercial and farm property; both needed majority approval to amend the constitution. The Election Board also reported that Justice Department personnel would monitor outside some polling places in Oklahoma, Tulsa and Muskogee counties on Election Day and had confirmed they would follow state law, staying outside polling places and not interfering. Storms the night before had forced polling-place changes in individual counties, and voters were urged to check the emergency-changes link on the board's homepage before heading out.
