拉斯维加斯华人餐厅讲正宗泰式炒河粉：罗望子酱是关键，不用番茄酱
内华达州克拉克县拉斯维加斯市——位于拉斯维加斯的功夫泰式中餐厅11月3日推出一期饮食文化介绍，重点讲解招牌菜鸡肉泰式炒河粉的传统做法。餐厅方面表示，这道菜在美国经过多年改良，许多版本已经偏离原味，他们希望让本地食客了解正宗做法与美式改良版本之间的区别。

Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada — Kung Fu Thai & Chinese Restaurant in Las Vegas on November 3 spotlighted the preparation and heritage of its chicken pad Thai, explaining the differences between authentic Thai cooking and Westernized adaptations of the dish.
The restaurant said the dish is made with medium-cut rice noodles stir-fried in a house-made sauce with fresh bean sprouts and green onion, topped with roasted crushed peanuts. The sauce's tang comes from tamarind rather than the ketchup common in Americanized versions, producing a lighter, drier dish. Diners can choose chicken, shrimp, Certified Angus Beef, tofu or a combination, with their preferred spice level. General Manager Alan Wong said many people have only tasted heavier, sweeter versions and are surprised by the balance of a traditional recipe.
The restaurant, at 3505 S Valley View Blvd, offers dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering, with a menu spanning Chinese and Thai dishes, stir-fried noodles, fried rice, soups and vegetarian options. It said more diners now care about the cultural background of what they eat, reflecting a wider trend among Las Vegas Asian restaurants to tell the stories behind their cuisines.
