Lightscape returns to San Diego Botanic Garden (300 Quail Gardens Drive) in Encinitas, San Diego County, California, opening November 20 and running on scheduled evenings through January 3, 2027, with timed entry (cost: adults from $28, children from $18, ages 2 and under free, members 20% off; parking $15 in advance or $20 on site — see the garden website for current rates).
In its fifth year, the after-dark trail winds about a mile through the 37-acre garden, with more than 20 new installations by international artists alongside returning favorites — light tunnels, illuminated sculptures and interactive moments — in what the garden calls a newly reimagined edition.
Timed tickets are sold on the San Diego Botanic Garden website; popular slots sell out, so check the calendar before visiting.
