Thomas校车召回13,593辆：轮舱车身接头强度不足、不合联邦校车标准
美国国家公路交通安全管理局（NHTSA）11月2日公布的新一批安全召回中，戴姆勒卡车北美公司（DTNA）召回部分2023至2027款 Thomas Built 校车，共13,593辆。原因是轮舱处车身内部接头制造不正确、接合强度不足，不符合联邦机动车安全标准第221号《校车车身接合强度》的要求。涉及车型包括 SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley（2023至2027款）、SAF-T-LINER C2（2025至2027款）、SAF-T-LINER HDX2（2026至2027款）与 SAF-T-LINER EFX2。
NHTSA 指出，接合强度不足的校车在碰撞中可能无法充分保护乘客，增加受伤风险。DTNA 已向 NHTSA 提交安全召回报告（厂商召回编号 F1044，NHTSA 召回编号 26V702），估计涉事车辆全部存在这一缺陷。
处理办法是经销商为接头加装紧固件加固，全部免费，车主通知信预计12月21日寄出。车主可致电 DTNA 客服 1-800-574-0712 查询，也可在NHTSA 召回查询页输入车架号（VIN）核对自家车辆是否在列。

13,593 Thomas School Buses Recalled: Wheelhouse Body Joints Too Weak for Federal School Bus Standard
In a new batch of safety recalls posted on Nov. 2, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023-2027 Thomas Built school buses, 13,593 units in total. The wheelhouse body interior joints may have been manufactured incorrectly, resulting in insufficient joint strength, so the buses fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength." The recall covers the SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley (2023-2027), SAF-T-LINER C2 (2025-2027), SAF-T-LINER HDX2 (2026-2027) and SAF-T-LINER EFX2.
NHTSA said a school bus with insufficient joint strength may not adequately protect passengers in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. DTNA has filed its safety recall report with NHTSA (manufacturer recall No. F1044; NHTSA campaign No. 26V702), estimating that all of the recalled buses have the defect.
Dealers will add fasteners to secure the joints, free of charge, and owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Dec. 21. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-574-0712, or check whether their vehicle is included by entering its VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup page.
Thomas Built Buses, headquartered in High Point, North Carolina, is one of the largest school bus manufacturers in the United States and a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America; the SAF-T-LINER C2 is its flagship conventional school bus, used by school districts across the country.
