Maryland's general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, with polls open statewide from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; anyone in line by 8 p.m. can vote. Under State Board of Elections rules, voters must cast ballots at their assigned polling place on Election Day, but same-day registration is available in person with proof of address. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 3 or hand-delivered to a drop box or local board of elections by 8 p.m.
Races to watch include Baltimore's Question I, the Baby Fund referendum, and the Ocean City mayor's race between Matt James and Rick Meehan, along with statewide ballot questions. The November 3 results will decide Maryland's governor, congressional delegation and local officials, as well as several ballot questions.
