Lane Closures at 14 Rapides Parish Intersections for $9 Million Signal Upgrade Through Nov. 6
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that alternating lane closures will be in effect at 14 intersections across Rapides Parish, in the Alexandria area, beginning Monday, November 2, as part of a $9 million traffic signal improvement project. The closures are scheduled daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, November 6, weather permitting.
Affected locations include Jackson Street, MacArthur Drive, Masonic Drive, Broadway Avenue and Donahue Ferry Road, as well as several intersections along Highways 107, 165 and 167. One lane in each direction will remain open and no detours are anticipated. Crews are installing equipment for flashing yellow left-turn arrows and related signal improvements.
