史密森尼非洲艺术博物馆新展11月6日开幕：回望十年入藏之路
史密森尼学会旗下的美国国家非洲艺术博物馆将于11月6日推出新展「New & Now：十年构建国家非洲艺术收藏」（New & Now: A Decade Building the National Collection of African Art），展览长期开放，集中呈现该馆近十年来的入藏成果。
该馆永久收藏达1.3万件，涵盖雕塑、绘画、摄影、陶器与时尚等门类。据馆方介绍，这是美国唯一一家大规模收藏非洲各国艺术的博物馆。

Smithsonian's 'New & Now' Opens November 6: A Decade of Building the African Art Collection
The Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art will open a new exhibition, 'New & Now: A Decade Building the National Collection of African Art,' on November 6. The show, which will remain on view on an ongoing basis, spotlights acquisitions that have entered the museum's collection over the past decade.
The museum's permanent collection holds 13,000 objects spanning sculpture, painting, photography, pottery and fashion, among other media. According to the museum, it is the only museum in the United States housing an expansive collection of art from African countries.
The National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C., was founded in 1964 by collector Warren M. Robbins and later became part of the Smithsonian Institution.
