The LA Phil Plays Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony November 13–15 with Saraste Conducting
Walt Disney Concert Hall (111 S. Grand Ave) in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, presents the Los Angeles Philharmonic on November 13 and 15, with Jukka-Pekka Saraste conducting Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 alongside works by Sibelius and a saxophone concerto by Billy Childs.
Tchaikovsky's Fourth, driven by its fate motif in the brass, is the Russian Romantic's passionate thrill ride; Childs' contemporary concerto tells its own story through the saxophone, and the pairing is one of the LA Phil's featured first-timer recommendations this season. Check the orchestra's calendar for curtain times.
Tickets start at $59 through the LA Phil website and box office at (323) 850-2000.
